στο λήμμα Σπυρίδων Μαρκεζίνης (Σπυρίδων Μαρκεζίνης· Σπύρος Μαρκεζίνης· γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα στις 22 Απριλίου 1909· πέθανε στις 4 Ιανουαρίου 2000· Έλληνας νομομαθής, πολιτικός και ιστορικός· όνομα πατρός: Βασίλειος Μαρκεζίνης· εξελέγη πολλές φορές βουλευτής, διετέλεσε υπουργός σε σημαντικά χαρτοφυλάκια τη δεκαετία του 1950 ενώ τον Οκτώβριο του 1973 σχημάτισε βραχύβια κυβέρνηση κατά τη διάρκεια της Χούντας, η οποία και ανατράπηκε με το πραξικόπημα του Ιωαννίδη· σπούδασε νομική και πολιτικές και οικονομικές επιστήμες στο Εθνικό και Καποδιστριακό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών· το 1931 διορίσθηκε δικηγόρος στην Αθήνα· μετά την αποχώρησή του από την πολιτική, στη δεκαετία του '80 αφοσιώθηκε στη συγγραφή του έργου «Νεώτερη Πολιτική Ιστορία της Ελλάδος»· γιος του ήταν ο νομικός και πανεπιστημιακός Βασίλειο
